University of Maine student Maria
Reynolds of South Solon, Maine, harvests sunflowers at Rogers Farm for
the Black Bear Food Guild. The student-operated, community-supported
agriculture project of UMaine's Sustainable Agriculture Program
distributes fresh flowers and organically grown vegetables to
shareholders throughout the summer and fall.
Reynolds, a senior majoring in studio
art, is one of six UMaine students in the guild this season.
