Video Text: The future of the industry, as I see it, is similar to what happened to freshwater fish 20 years ago. Back then it was 90 percent wild-collected as well, and now you barely see wild-collected freshwater fish at all. So, I suspect and hope that 10 years from now we're going to see 95-99 percent capture rates on saltwater fish for aquariums. I also have my own vision of expanding the tropical aquaculture with not only fish but with a whole suite of products--including ornamental shrimp, corals, live food--so that you can stock an entire saltwater tank with organisms that are only raised in captivity, and that way you'll have a minimal impact on wild collection.
