A student poster competition is one of the
features of Climate Change 21, a two-day conference at the University of
Maine, Oct. 23-24. Among the poster entries are expected to be pieces
developed this past spring by students in three undergraduate art
classes in 2D design, taught by Kerstin Engman. At the end of the
semester, the students displayed their posters on the second floor of
Lord Hall, where Paul Mayewski, director of the Climate Change
Institute, got a first glimpse and talked to the artists. During the
conference, sponsored by the Climate Change Institute, posters entered
in the competition will be displayed in Wells Conference Center. More
information about the poster contest is on the Web.
